Terms & Conditions

ORDERING

​

When you place an order you will need to detail your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number and credit/debit details. For your security, we do not store your credit/debit card details. This information is processed securely by Wix Payments which encrypts data sent to and from us and our customers using the HTTPS protocol. Wix Payments are Level 1 PCI-DSS compliant.

 

When your request has been processed you will be notified by email with a receipt of your order, you can then check if all the details are correct.

 

A contact telephone number is essential so that I can quickly reach you if I need to discuss your order and is a requirement for delivery by courier.

 

PAYMENT

 

Payment for all orders is at point of sale and not at point of despatch. Payment is made via Wix Payment using our online payment facility and you can pay by credit/debit card or PayPal. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered with UK delivery included, unless clearly marked otherwise. By entering card details onto our system you confirm that the credit or debit card being used is yours. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

To be eligible to purchase products on this website you must be 18 or over, stipulate a delivery address and possess a valid credit or debit card. We reserve the right to reject any offer of purchase by anyone at any time.

 

STOCK AND DELIVERY

 

All of the items listed on the shop section of this website are available for purchase unless stated otherwise.


At present I am only able to accept orders and offer delivery to UK addresses. All orders are usually delivered using Royal Mail’s first class service or via courier. On dispatch you will receive confirmation email.  I aim to despatch orders within 10 days. If there are circumstances when this might be longer, for example if I’m on a break, I will contact you.

 

If you require an item for a specific date or really urgently, please contact Olwen before ordering to ensure that your request can be met. Olwen will do her best to meet any deadlines.

 

PACKAGING

 

I try to recycle and reuse packaging materials where possible, or choose packaging made from recycled materials.

PRODUCT PRICING & DESCRIPTIONS

All prices are in pounds sterling. Each product purchased is sold subject to its Product Description, but please remember that handmade ceramics are not mass-produced and therefore slight variations in design/ colour/ size are a feature and part of the beauty of handmade crafts.

WEBSITE IMAGES

All images are copyright, as are the designs of my work. Due to the nature of different screen resolutions, we are unable to guarantee that the product images you see are an accurate representation of the actual merchandise. Images are not to scale so please refer to the dimensions given for each piece.


COMMISSIONS

​

If you are interested commissioning one of Olwen’s designs in a different colour / pattern / size etc., or you would like something entirely bespoke please get in touch.

Once a commissioned piece is ordered, a deposit or full payment may be required before work can begin. You will be kept fully informed of progress and expected delivery times. Please note that your cancellation rights are affected once a commission is started. I am unable to offer refunds for completed commissioned/bespoke pieces.

 

 

CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS AND RETURNS

 

I hope you will be delighted with your purchase from Olwen Thomas Ceramics, however if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you’re entitled to cancel your order, provided you do so no longer than 14 days after the day on which you receive the products. You’ll be given a full refund, including the initial postage charge. Please note that this does NOT apply to bespoke or commissioned pieces.

 

Please email me with your contact details and your order details and let me know why you are returning an item before sending that item back to me.

 

Orders must be returned in their original packaging and in perfect condition, within 14 working days from the date you received the products. The refund includes the original delivery charge but please note that I am unable to offer free returns.

If your item arrives damaged please let me know within 48hrs of arrival by sending a photo of the item and packaging by email. If you’re returning a product because it is faulty, I will pay the return delivery costs.

If you return goods to me, please use an insured method of despatch and obtain proof of posting. I cannot accept liability for returned goods being lost or damaged in transit.
